Anne Rakel Almås

Anne pursued a Master´s degree in Architecture from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen.
She graduated in January 2018.
A trip to Africa in 2015 made a big impact on her and completely changed her perspective of architecture. She decided to change her course towards social architecture, as she believe architecture can be a tool to improve lives of people in less privileged countries.

In 2016, while still a student, Anne took her first step in this new direction, and self programmed a semester in school to design and build a school in Zimbabwe called Chizungu.
She alone carried out the project through all phases from design, getting funds and being project manager on building site. The project was funded by a sponsor in Norway (Ryfylke Dykk AS) and it was completed in August 2017.

Anne also has work experience in Norway working with residential and a variety of other projects at Sjo Fasting architects.
